Pancakes with Strawberries and Honey


Pancakes are the easiest thing to make in the mornings and it’s Friday, so it’s also a good excuse to make them. These are light, fluffy and delicious with some fresh strawberries and syrup. If you don’t have any syrup, use honey like I did.


5 medium size pancakes

Cooking time:

15-20 mins


1 cup flour (you can use whole wheat too)

3/4 cup milk

1 egg

2 tbsp olive oil

2 tsp baking powder

1 tbsp sugar

A pinch of salt


Mix flour, sugar, salt and baking powder in a bowl.

Mix milk, egg and olive oil in another bowl.

Add the milk mixture to the flour mixture and mix till incorporated.

Don’t over mix or beat the batter else the pancakes will turn out tough and leathery.

On a hot nonstick pan, pour half a ladle of the batter. ¬†After around 30-40 seconds you’ll see little bubbles on the sides. Flip it over and let the other side cook for another 30 seconds.

Top with syrup, honey, chocolate sauce or any other sauce and of course, fruits.
