Vietnamese iced coffee – the not so authentic kind

Ok, it’s not the real deal. So what? It still tastes delicious. Why is it not so authentic? Because I don’t have the filter, not do I have Vietnamese coffee with me. I used good old south Indian filter coffee decoction for this. I still made it with condensed milk and ice. So there! It’s very easy to make and utterly delicious. I made this to go with my chilli cheese toast for breakfast on Sunday. Give it a shot and let me know how it goes.

Serves: 2

Time taken: 5 mins (includes time taken for pictures!)

Ingredients:

Filter coffee decoction – 1 cup divided in halves

Condensed milk – 2 tbsp for each serving

Ice cubes – 5-6 per serving

Method:

Pour the condensed milk in a glass.

Pour the coffee decoction on top of it. It looks quite lovely at this point.

Add the ice cubes. Stir well till it all combines.

Serve chilled.
