I know this doesn’t need a recipe, but it’s just another idea for you to turn a boring bowl of oatmeal into something delicious. I love apples and I love cinnamon. Put them together and you have an absolute winner. I sometimes cook apples down with some brown sugar and cinnamon and use it as a topping for ice cream or have it with some vanilla yoghurt, or even as a sandwich filling. Why not, I say?
10 mins give or take
Instant oats – 4 tbsp
Water – 1/2 cup
Milk – 1/2 cup
Apple – 1 medium (chop half and slice the other half)
Cinnamon powder – 1 tsp
Honey – 2 tsp
Salt – 1/4 tsp
Peanut butter – 1 tbsp
Flax seeds/chia seeds/pumpkin seeds – 1 tsp
Bring the water and milk up to a simmer and add oats.
After a minute, add the apple and cinnamon along with salt and honey.
Cook for another 5 mins or till apples are soft.
Pour oatmeal in a bowl. Add the rest of the ingredients.
