Sriracha Honey Chicken Wings
Sriracha is one of my absolute favourite condiments. It’s spicy, yet not so hot that fire alarms are set off. I got my hands on a bottle recently and wanted to put it on everything. Well, I almost did. Who doesn’t like hot wings? We all love a good nibbling on some succulent wings. I made some with just 4 ingredients and boy were they delicious. Sriracha, chilli powder, ginger garlic paste and honey. Minimum effort and maximum flavour.
Chicken wings – 6 whole cut into two
Sriracha – 2 tbsp
Chilli powder – 2 tsp (you may omit if you don’t want too much heat)
Ginger garlic paste – 3 tsp
Honey – 1 tbsp
Oil – 3 tsp
Salt (only if you need to)
Marinate the wings in 1 tbsp sriracha, ginger garlic paste and the chilli powder and salt if you’re adding any for at least 2 hours.
Preheat your oven at 200 degrees C.
Heat the oil in a nonstick pan and sear the wings in them for about a minute on each side or till they have browned.
Quickly put the wings in a baking tray and brush them with the remaining sriracha and honey.
Pop this into the oven and let it cook for 20 mins at 190 degrees C.
Once done, you can brush the wings with more sriracha and honey if you’d like.
