Every blogger has a bio. I should too. I don’t have much to say about myself, but that foodmeans pretty much everything to me. When I’m eating, I’m thinking about what to eat next. When I’m not eating, I’m thinking about what I should be eating. But the part I enjoy the most is creating food. I made my first coffee at the tender age of 8, with my mother’s remote guidance (I say remote because she would yell out instructions from the bedroom while I was in the kitchen). I baked my first cake at a not-so-tender age of 18 – this time around, I read the recipe off her diary!
For the more serious stuff – my friend Upasana and I started a food blog called purplecinnamonandsalt on a whim in 2010. A year later, the two of us began working at Zomato. Work took over everything and we enjoyed, and still do, every bit of being a Zoman. So much so that the blog was dead for three long years! Eventually, I moved to Zomato HQ in Gurgaon where Upasana was already doing great things. Living alone got me cooking, and cooking got me thinking, and lo behold, the blog was resurrected.
As for now, it’s I, Pallavi, armed with one induction stove, one kadhai and one OTG oven, who will keep this going. I hope you love it, just as much as I do.
P.S – I decided to drop the ‘and salt’ from the original blog’s name because salt = water retention. Also, purple cinnamon and salt was just too long a name anyway!
